Start Forming Your Teams Now!

Aloha Hackers,
We’re excited about the upcoming hackathon and want to help you make the most of your time during the event. One key to a successful and enjoyable hackathon is forming your team as soon as possible. Here’s how you can get started:

Forming Teams on Devpost

  1. Indicate Your Status:

    • Navigate to the "Participants" page.
    • Use the checkbox option to indicate if you’re looking for teammates.

  2. Introduce Yourself:

    • If you’re looking for a team, complete the text box to introduce yourself. Share your ideas or specify what kind of teammates you’re looking for.

  3. Connect with Others:

    • See someone you’d like to team up with? Click the “Team-up request” button to compose a message and send them an email. This email will be sent from the email address associated with your Devpost account, allowing the recipient to reply directly to you. Note: You can message each user only once.

  4. Confirm and Add Team Members:

    • Once both participants have confirmed interest in forming a team, the team leader should add the other person to their project.
    • Go to your project page and click + add team members. This will take you to the "Edit" page, where you can either copy the invitation link to send to your potential teammate or insert their email to have the invitation sent directly from Devpost.

We also encourage you to join our Discord server to facilitate team discussions and real-time communication. This can be a great way to brainstorm ideas, meet potential teammates, and stay engaged with the hackathon community.
